Under the framework of the “dual carbon” strategy, in response to climate change and to advance the achievement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, TPK has adopted “carbon reduction, efficiency enhancement, and green development” as its core mission. The company has systematically integrated the principles of sustainable development into its strategic planning and operational practices. Currently, TPK has successfully obtained the official certification from SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative). This is a significant milestone for the company's sustainable development, indicating that its carbon reduction targets are highly aligned with the temperature control goals of the Paris Agreement, and marking the company's entry into a new stage of scientific and standardized low-carbon development.

By 2030, the absolute reduction in GHG for Scope 1 and Scope 2 will be 44.6% compared to 2022.

Greenhouse gas management

Carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions have become the national sustainable development trend and are also TPK’s goals in the direction of climate change. To achieve this goal, greenhouse gas management is crucial. To manage greenhouse gases, TPK has completed the greenhouse gas inventory of each operating plant in accordance with the ISO14064-1 standard.Digitalization is a key element of transformation. The development of a carbon management database will provide a substantial basis for decision-making and operations at all levels of the company. Scientifically and systematically managing carbon emission data, collecting statistics on the group’s greenhouse gas emissions, and using it as a management method for long-term operational carbon emission reduction are all standard operations at TPK.

Waste Management

TPK manages the entire process of waste from generation, storage, transfer, and disposal. Water Resources Management

TPK has been committed to the proper management and recycling optimization of "water resources", conducting water risk impact analysis and operation planning. In order to ensure the efficient operation of the company's water system, the Group has established a water resource management model of source management, rational reduction, recycling and reuse. At the same time, through the water resources data monitoring platform of the Facilities Management Department, TPK analyzes the water balance of each factory, develops and implements various water resource recycling projects and comprehensively implements "source management", "source reduction" and "recycling".
