Based on the surface capacitive touch technique, P-Cap Touch technology etches the electrodes into long strips to form patterned electrodes. As the finger approaches the surface, the controller can quickly detect the change of capacitance and determine the touch location. Given its challenge in large-size touch screen production, most of the present applications of P-Cap touch screens are in small and medium sized hand-held electronics products such as cell phones, PMPs, NetBooks, eBooks and Tablets. The P-Cap touch is a touch technology with digital detection capable of simultaneously detecting touch signals at several touch points with its patterned capacitors. In addition, P-Cap touch panel can sense very light touches, making the product more durable. Its light transmission can be above 90%, which is higher than that of the resistive and surface capacitive counterparts. Its response time is also superior to the resistive touch products and its signal drifting is lower than the surface capacitive touch products.
